FLY MIAMI ART

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about ordering, shipping, displaying, and commissioning FLY's artwork.

Shipping Policy

How long does shipping take?

Domestic (US) orders typically ship within 5 to 10 business days after payment is confirmed. Large sculptures and custom installations may require additional preparation time. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships. Expedited options may be available for smaller works on request.

How are artworks packaged for shipping?

All works are carefully packed with professional art-grade materials including foam padding, corner protectors, and double-wall corrugated boxes. Framed works include foam surround and rigid backing. Sculptures are custom-crated on a piece-by-piece basis. Insurance is included in shipping costs for all orders over $500.

Do you offer local delivery or installation in South Florida?

Yes. White-glove delivery and installation service is available for Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. This service includes hand-delivery, unpacking, placement, and removal of packaging materials. Please contact us at fly@flymiami.art or call +1 786 538 0490 to arrange local delivery.

International Shipping

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. FLY ships to most countries worldwide. International shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination, dimensions, and weight. Smaller wall works and prints ship internationally with standard carriers. Large sculptures are quoted case-by-case due to freight requirements.

Who is responsible for customs and import fees?

The buyer is responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or handling fees levied by the destination country. These charges are not included in our shipping rates and vary by country and declared value. We recommend checking your local customs regulations before ordering. All international shipments are declared at full value as required by law.

How long does international shipping take?

International transit times vary by destination. Europe typically receives orders within 10 to 21 business days. Latin America is typically 7 to 14 business days. Asia and Oceania may take 14 to 28 business days. These are estimates and delays can occur due to customs processing. Tracking is provided for all international shipments.

UV and Glow Art Care

How do I care for my UV artwork?

UV-reactive artworks should be kept out of direct prolonged sunlight, which can cause the fluorescent pigments to fade over time. When not on display under blacklight, keep the work in a cool, dry environment away from heat sources. To clean, gently dust with a soft dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, solvents, or abrasive materials on the surface.

What kind of blacklight do I need to display UV art?

For best results, use a UV LED blacklight with a wavelength of 365nm to 395nm. These are widely available at home improvement and online stores. The closer the light is to the artwork and the darker the room, the more dramatic the glow effect. We recommend flood-style UV bar lights for wall pieces. UV LED strips along the top edge of the frame work beautifully for a built-in effect. Spiral UV fluorescent bulbs also work but produce less intensity than LED arrays.

How do I display UV art for maximum impact?

  • Mount UV LED bar lights above or below the artwork, angled toward the surface
  • Dim or turn off ambient room lighting for maximum contrast
  • Dark or neutral wall colors (charcoal, black, deep navy) enhance the effect dramatically
  • Keep a minimum distance of 12 inches between the light source and the artwork surface
  • Smart plugs or dimmer switches allow you to toggle between day mode and night mode seamlessly

Return Policy

What is your return policy?

All sales of original artwork are final. Because each piece is one-of-a-kind or limited edition, we cannot accept returns except in cases of shipping damage or a verified error on our part. If your order arrives damaged, please photograph the damage and packaging immediately upon receipt and contact us within 48 hours at fly@flymiami.art.

What if my artwork arrives damaged?

Shipping damage is covered under our insurance policy for orders over $500. Please retain all original packaging materials and take clear photographs of the damage before moving the item. Contact us within 48 hours at fly@flymiami.art with your order number and photos. We will file a claim and work with you on a resolution, which may include repair, replacement, or credit, depending on the severity.

Custom Commissions

How does the commission process work?

Commissions begin with a consultation to discuss your vision, space, and budget. FLY then develops concept sketches and a formal proposal. Once approved, a 50% deposit secures your spot in the production queue. The balance is due upon completion, before shipping or delivery. Most commissions are completed within 6 to 12 weeks depending on scale and complexity.

Can I commission a specific size or color scheme?

Yes. Custom commissions are fully tailored to your requirements. You can specify dimensions, color palette, duck colors, framing, and concept. FLY works collaboratively with clients to ensure the final piece reflects their vision while maintaining the artistic integrity the work is known for.

Are commissions refundable?

The 50% deposit is non-refundable once production has begun, as materials and studio time are allocated immediately upon approval. If a commission is cancelled before production begins, a partial refund may be available. All commission terms are outlined in a formal agreement signed before work commences.
